I have known about this car for a good while and was finally able to make a deal on it last weekend. The previous owner had owned it since 1979 and never really did anything to it. It is your basic 67 coronet R/T 440 auto on the column with bucket seats. Overall a very solid car with most of the original paint, as it appears to have been of the road since the mid-70's. You will have to forgive the jeep wheels and tires they are good rollers since the ones on the car were very flat! LOL...Anyway when I get more time I will post some other better pictures, I have not even got it off my trailer yet. I am going to try to get it washed and cleaned up this weekend.

Got to first off say A BIG THANKS to Rich for taking the time to talk with me on the phone! I have also been doing a little pressure washing and clean up. I got the carpet out to get a good look at the floors, and I have been doing a little buffing on the ole girl. When I get the rest of it finished up maybe I can get it off my trailer.LOL that is better than pushing it in and out though. Here is a few pictures so far, and BTW thanks for all of the replies!

Matt, it was a pleasure to speak with you. I'm very happy you decided to keep the car. I bet everyone here thought I'd try to buy it!!! I did just the exact opposite. Addicts tend to surround themselves with others to make themselves look better. LOL Keep going Matt, you just have a few more cars to make me look better...er...I mean to complete your collection. Hehe.

You know since talking with you I believe I may have to start a Tennessee chapter of the Coronetaholics Anonomous......... So I sold my 65 coronet wagon, and bought the Y2 69 Bee and now this 67 R/T, and I have 2 65 coronet 2 door sedans, a 65 4 door parts car , a 65 coronet wagon parts car, not to mention my 72 340 duster, 67 dart, 69 GTX, and several other parts cars for those.......Yeap I nuts...........

I think the bucket seat column shift combo is pretty rare myself...

4264door
06-10-2013, 08:57 PM
That combo sure leaves a lot of room to move around with. A guy can reach under the dash for whatever reason just by leaning over a bit to the right or left and presto! PLUS, when you take a hard turn your empty beer bottles under the seats roll over the tunnel and get stuck under the gas pedal at the wrong time....oh geez, there I go again! LOL. Scratch that last statement.

Spent the better part of the afternoon putting the interior back into the car. The car had been raced several years back so the only seat orginal to the car is the drivers side bucket seat. The guy that I bought it from had parted out another car so he had the other seats from that car. The only bad part is the passenger side bucket seat has A body tracks on it so if anyone has an extra set of passenger side bucket seat tracks let me know. Had a lot of good help from the wife as well getting everything back in.
I also found one seat medallion in the glove box, but the wires the hold it onto the set are gone, anyone know if this can be repaired or is it junk now?
Just thought I would post up some pictures of the original interior reinstalled. Hope everyone had a good 4th.

Nice to see the progress Matt. I do believe those medallions can be fixed. There is a guy at Carlilse who sell those things he claims to repair them himself. Maybe you could persuade him to tell his secret.

You may have to point him out to me. If I can repair this one, that will just leave me two other to find!

With out sounding mean, he has kind of an uppity attitude, but he is nice, and of course always willing to sell to you. He always has lots of neat parts for 67 Coronets, on of the few.

Just thought I would post a small update on the R/T. I removed all of the insides to give it a good cleaning and to have a good look at the floor pans. As I stated before this car was raced at some point so all of the seats minus the drivers seat were removed and thrown away. So I have been scratching up enough parts to atleast put the correct style seats back in the car. I got most every thing back together tonight. It does not look to bad to be original parts. At least it fits the car! LOL

Just thought I would update this thread. I have been real busy as of late with everything and have not been on here much.
I sold the 67 R/T to a guy over around the Ashville, NC area about a month ago. He plans on doing a restoration on the car and he says hopefully he can have it finished up for next summer/fall. I just have to much stuff going to seem to ever get a lot done so I am glad to see him get it so it can be back on the road again. Thanks for everyone comments on the car I really appreciated it.

Yes, but he says he really does not do a lot on the computer. A friend of his told him that I had the car listed on craigslist.
