My buddy and I went shopping in the local junkyard's yesterday, on the way home he showed me a guy with a yard full of mopar's. The guy was in his yard, I talked to the guy for a while. Asked him if he ever sells anything, then he showed me a 67 coronet, and he has a part's car for it as well. I acted like I really wanted a 68 dart he had, he started the 67 at $3500. I really kept pushing toward the dart for $800, by the time I was getting ready to leave he said he would let me have the 67 coronet parts car and all for $2000. The body has no dents, only one tiny rust spot on the drivers side rear quarter panel, except for the engine the whole car is there, SCORE!!!!

Will post pics when I figure out how, if computers were as easy as cars I'd have it maid in the shade! I think the coronet had a 500 emblem on it. Does that mean it had a big block?

It does not mean it had a big block, but it does mean that you have something you can sell to me if its in good shape :)

Thanks Led but I don't need the car, I am looking for a "500" emblem in decent shape though - :)

It could be a big block car, or a small block... What is the 5th digit of the vin number? That will tell you what motor it had originally...

I'd like to throw something out here, did all 500's come with a V8, small or big??

Chrysler did some weird shit...you could order a 426 HEMI in a '66 Deluxe 4-door, I'd bet somebody ordered a 500 with a slanty.

Probably, yah. Like the little old blue haired lady with white gloves on, a St. Christopher statue on the dash driving to Sunday mass. No hills, no clutch, just a purring slant-6 Coronet that hit every other GODDAMNED car in the church parking lot that day!!! Seen it happen.

I know I've seen 67 500s with a /6 in them. Not many, I believe 500s came standard with a small v8, not 100% on that though. They would have to be a special order. But they were made at least in 67.
