Does anyone know what kind of adhesive to use on 1967 Coronet Window moldings. These are the ones that separate the quarter and door windows and has the channel for the weatherstrip. I needed the moldings when I replaced the weatherstrips.

Please advise.

Thanks in advance

You may want to post a picture, but if they are the ones I'm thinking of, they do not use adhesive.

what mark said, but if you mean weatherstrip glue, than you want 3M super weatherstrip adhesive, comes in yellow or black, most automotive stores

3rd the 3m stuff. It can be messy so be careful! It's runny stuff.

Here is a picture. I'm talking about the metal piece that is glued to the window. It also holds the weatherstripping. When the weatherstripping was replaced, the garage removed the metal from the window. I need to know what is the correct or best glue to use.

Thanks,
Tony

No glue on those. That's the piece I was talking about.

On my 1965 Coronet that piece came off and the only way to fix it was 3M Super Weatherstrip Adhesive.I used black...and it is very messy. It has held for 4 or 5 years though.

Manual say no glue , they fit real tight so you shouldn`t need anything like Mark said . Mine didn`t . Andy
