Listing this for a friend:
Original 1972 Road Runner, 340 4 speed car, matching numbers.
Fender tag, build sheet, title, and drivetrain all match and are all original.
Runs and drives VERY WELL, but does need some restoration.
Options as follows, directly from fender tag:
-Alpine White with gold strobe stripe
- Ember Gold interior
-340, 4 speed in the console (one of 349 with this drivetrain
combination for '72, and this car has the matching numbers 340!)
-dual exhaust (chrome tip delete)
- 3.55 sure grip
-bucket seats
-hood pins
-Tuff wheel
-factory tach - WORKS like NEW!
-dual sport mirrors (chrome)
-AM/FM multiplex stereo (3 speakers and fader switch - RARE)
-dual sway bars
-power steering
-power brakes
-heavy duty cooling
-inside hood release
car was produced on the last day of production for 1972
The original grill is missing. Car comes with a VERY nice front
bumper and Satellite grill. Also a dealer return NOS rear
bumper! The rear sway bar is not mounted, where the mounts were on the
frame rail there are two holes that must have been caused by the mount
holding moisture, someone cut them out to repair it and it is an easy
fix, they are about 2x3 inches. The rest of the frame rails are nice.
There is rust under the hood hinges, they will have to be removed and a
flat patch put in. The floors are real nice, has one
small patch that was poorly done. Interior is ROUGH looking.
Car is in eastern North Carolina.
