Torque Shaft/ Z bar install question

Putting together my first 4 speed car and I have the engine and trans installed and i need to install the torque shaft. How in the heck do you do that? Do you have to raise the engine some or remove one of the ball studs? or both???? Any help or tips are appreciatted!!

There is a ball stud on the drivers side frame rail you need to remove that to get it out.The nut is behind the front wheel,remove it and push it into the z bar and then you can wiggle it out of there.dont forget to unhook the linkage.
