Sunday August 3rd, 10am. Chrysler Product Owners Club is having the annual show at Manassas Chrysler Jeep, on RT 28 in Manassas, Virginia.
Manassas is off 66 just about 25 miles west of Washington, DC. From 66 its probably easiest to get off at the Centerville exit for Rt 28, and go south on 28 to Manassas. Chrysler dealer will be on the right.

Sorry you missed it. It was a pretty nice show this year with vintage Mopars in just about every available space. There may have been about 80 or so Mopars in attendence. I really think we could do alot better than that in this area, but its still not a bad showing for a little local show thats not really advertized or promoted. I think the most interesting Coronet that goes to this show, is an original owner original paint survivor 65 Coronet 440 series hardtop with its original 426 wedge under the hood. It never wins a trophy cause its just always at these little local Mopar shows and everybody is passed the shock and awe of seeing it and people tend to just walk by without looking.

This 68 Electric blue metallic RT was one I hadn't seen before. The new owner just bought it and this was the first Mopar show he brought it to. The arrow straight black 69 Road Runner won the Dealers Choice award from the staff of Manassas Chrysler. I like to park next to this car, just to look at my own car in the reflection of this car's paint. The owner of the 69 Road Runner just completed a long, expensive restoration on a numbers matching white 68 Hemi RT with blue interior and blue stripe. I can't wait to see that one.

Despite the abundance of Mopar Muscle cars, the club member"s Members Choice award went to a 70 Chrysler 300 convertible with the factory 440 TNT engine. The big C-bodys are getting rarer, and its really nice to see a big muscle car like this get some recognition for a change. There were Hemi Cudas, 440 six pack Road Runners and Challengers, a 69 Daytona, lots of Road Runners, and several Chargers, but the club members chose this C-body this year. The purple 71 Challenger convertible is an original purple 383 car and this was its first time out after completeing a ground up restoration. The gold 69 Barracuda fastback belongs to a buddy of mine I've known since elementary school. This air conditioned fastback was originally a 318 car, but now has a 69 340. He's actually interested in selling it. After the show, several of us stopped for ice cream at a little old fashion dairy bar a couple doors down from the dealership.

Very nice RT. I reallly like the blue with blue interior. Looks like it also has the rare AM/FM radio. After I left the show I realized that that was probably your car. I'm sorry I didn't get the chance to meet you. I think it was Craig (with the white road Runner) or Mark ( with the purple Challenger convertible) that was telling me about your car, so I guess you know them too. The Mopar world is certainly a small world.
