I bought one of the new repro 2 piece metal fan shrouds this summer from A&M for the Charger. The short story is, it will not go on.
The long story is...
I have a 22 inch rad in a 383 four barrel car with automatic trans. We have determined that there was no error in the shroud or the brackets to mount the shroud. The rad is a Chrysler rad but I cannot determine it's original application since I cannot find any part number on it or the rad mount brackets. My gut feeling is that the rad was changed out sometime in the 30 years prior to my owning the car but I don't know what it came from (C-body??). For those familiar with the pre 68 fan shrouds, essentially the distance in the rad mount bracket between the slot where the shroud bracket slides in and the hole where the shroud bracket screws into the cage nut on the rad bracket is too close.
Question, does anyone have a few good pics of a 66-68 22 inch rad mount bracket? I'd like to start confirming what it is I need to hunt down to make this right again.
