    1966 Dodge Coronet 500 Convertible

I am selling my 1966 Dodge Coronet 500 Convertible with 73,000original miles. The car was originallysold in Tennessee and spent most of its life there. It had been parked in a garage for almost 30years and is in exceptional condition.Itís not a survivor just because it received a coat of paint at somepoint, but there is no perforation.Thequality of the repaintingis just so-so,but it shines up nicely andgenerallylooks great. The body is in greatshape.Underneath I can see the typicalsurface rust one would expect with a 51 year old car, but it is still solidwith no perforation or loss of function.

The engine is a 361, but the car is badged as a 383 tribute. A four-barrel intake and Carter carburetorgive it the 383 appearance, but I still have the original intake manifold andcarburetor for the purists. It has beenfitted with aftermarket dual exhaust that sounds great. The aluminum radiator and electric fans are amajor improvement over the original radiator, but I have the original radiatoras well. The front end is upgraded withaftermarket disc brakes and a power disc brake booster, but again, I have theoriginal single reservoir master cylinder. The wheels and tires have beenupgraded to give the vehicle a resto-mod look, but, you guessed it, I have the originalwheels, tires and wheel covers.I alsohave a second set of wheel covers that are included.
The interior is very nice. The seats have been recovered, but otherwise the interior is in originalcondition. The temp gauge is not functional, but the gauge itself checks OK.The samefor the fuel gauge Ė the gauge is not working, but when checked at the gauge itdoes operate. The radio, no surprise, does not work either. The amp gauge, oilgauge, turn signals and turn signal cancelling are functional.Mostimportant, the convertible top goes up and down with no issues.
The car starts reliably and runs well even after longdistances. The 727 transmission isrock-solid.The car has been driven tomany car events, but even though it is now in Michigan it has never been drivenin winter weather, snow or even rain.
Included is a light-weight fiberglass hood with scoop. It has never been installed because it wouldneed finishing, painting and reinforcement to put it on the original hinges, but it would be a nice addition for those who want to see the car take on amore performance-oriented appearance.
I paid more than I should a few years back when I boughtthis car, but it presents very well and it has been a lot of fun. With all of the upgrades it could still betaken back to original condition in one day because no holes were drilled orother modifications made.I donít havethe sticker or original bill of sale, but I do have the original broadcast sheet. This car is offered for sale to someone whowants to own the car.No dealers orresellers, please.I am offering the carfor sale at $24,900 and would be negotiable with the right buyer. Please feel free to contact me at j57little@hotmail.com or at (248) 719-6750.
