I installed Mopar's electronic ignition with an orange box in 2001 on my 383 and I pull random plugs regularily and the all still look that good even after 30,000 miles. Must have a damn good motor to start it is about to turn the odometer over any day. |

I feel I should mention that in the picture the front of the car is sitting very high and looks like there may not be a motor in it. The motor is actually in it in this picture. One of the reasons it sits like this I believe is due to the fact that when I installed the boxed rear control arms, they squatted the car down in the back which in turn raised the front. I may change this in the future when I start driving the car depending how it feels driving although I think it looks pretty cool like this. I have had this car running but have not driven it yet. Some of the things that still have to be done are the fuel lines which are rotted out, fuel pump, hooking up the Auto Meter gauges, finishing my modified center console (I installed a Cheetah shifter which would not fit in the thing original console so I wound up taking a console out of a 1963 Thunderbird which are parted out and am modifying it for this car. It actually fits in the car nice and I am planning on modifying it a little bit to make it look as if it belongs in the car. This car is taking much longer to do than I had originally thought but as I go along with it I find more things that either need to be changed or just do not look right so although not actually a necessity I add them to the list. I guess this is just the nature of out hobby. |
