Welcome to the site! I’ll be there but my coronet won’t, I’ll have my desoto there this year
Peak under the hood of that Desoto if I were you.
It's got the powetrain of the Death Star machinegunekelly
Haha thanks guys! I decided today that I’m bringing the coronet. I had an issue(leak)with the remote reservoir for the hydraulic clutch over the weekend and it needs to be replaced, I glad it didn’t happen on the way to Carlisle, that would have sucked. I guess it’s good to have backup cars.
Well same goes, I imagine the Coronet is no eye sore under the hood .
It's got a 4 banger our of a Dodge Omni in it..
you know how Jeff is with just making stuff work :)
Hey now! I had a Omni 024 and that thing ripped fast enough to put me on my lid!
I always wanted a Rampage and put a GLHS engine it.
Probably end up on my lid too.
Did you know that not only did the same guy who designed the Omni/Horizon also design the VW Rabbit, some actually came with the VW engines..
I did not know that
Yup.. Chrysler had a body, but no motor to put in it to get the car out. And since the dimensions were the pretty close to the same, they just bought a bunch of Rabbit motors and stuffed em in. Worked on a couple of em at the VW shop as back then you had "domestic" and "import" mechanics and neither would touch em.
I would have been upset if I bought one and it had a vw engine.
Remember Direct Connection use to have all kinds of hop up goodies for the 2.2.
