    R.I.P. Joe Cocker

I just heard on the national news tonight that we lost a great entertainer today. He passed today at age 70 at his home in Colorado from lung cancer. He will be truly missed by all of his many fans including me. R.I.P. Joe and thank you for all of your great songs.

Thank you Richard, as you know he was my favorite singer .

And when I heard I thought about you hooking us up with his best.

    RIP Joe Cocker

I had the opportunity to catch J.C. in concert in Cannes, France around 1996/7, I think, those were fuzzy times. He pulled off one of my most memorable/favorite concerts of all rock entertainers. It was held in some type of a basketball auditorium for 2400 people. Nothing fancy just 3.5 hours of Joe Cocker and the Rockettes with a couple 10 minute breaks. We were able to wiggle up to about the 5th row from the stage, AWESOME concert. He was truly one of a kind.

I wonder if he is upstairs with John Belushi laughing about the many Saturday Night Live skits they performed together; "Feel'in Alright" & "With a Little Help". Truly missed...

Joe Cocker and Janis Joplin, two of the most powerful singers of the 60's and thankfully we were able to enjoy Joe's unique voice for many more years than Janis, but I bet their both upstairs singing the Blues together and having a lot of fun. I feel very blessed to have been able to have grown up in the 60's and 70's when music was so very cool.

Too many music artists dying recently. As we get older it becomes more apparent.
