Hello Fran,
I remember you talking about all of the snow you received last year and boy do those pictures prove it! WOW I'm hoping that you have it much easier this year!
Richard
For some unknown reason, nobody seems to take me seriously............
So far, so good here! It's been in the 40's and 50's, except for the 9" we got a few days before Thanksgiving and it melted right away on the warm ground!
Objects quickly DISAPPEAR in the rearview mirror and PLEASE stay seated until the ride comes to a complete stop!!

Yeah it was heavy falls in the space of a weekend. Then right after that temps went back up again. Right now we have no snow where I am in Finland. Up north though the ski season is alive and kicking..Plenty of snow in Lapland.

Richard
One of my clients is the Finnish Meteorology Department. I asked a friend there and he tells me that the average going on historical records, is currently at 60-90cm of snow at the peak time of mid March.
But of course up in Lapland there is more snow than where I am (roughly 175 KM North of Helsinki)
The following photos are not from this year. But this is what I am hoping for next time I go up for a snow mobile safari in Lapland! I took these last time I was there.
