Thanks for the clock advice, Richard. I bookmarked the e-bay listing "just in case". For now, I'll wait & see what the repair guy can do with it. It'll still be original - even for a short time. Yes, 67r/t4speeder, the bezel is original and the chrome is still holding up nicely - good advice on the speedo cable & wiper motor!. Next, I'm going to tackle working out a couple of dings in the upper & lower trunk trim pieces. Winter here is long, so I'll have lots of time to play -besides, it's nice to take the cover off every once in a while!

A little OT but, yesterday evening the bypass hose blew on my 2000 Ram 2500. So today I went ahead and replaced ALL the hoses, including heater hoses. They'd never been changed and have 145K miles on them...insurance.

Put new leaf springs in, wound up breaking a bleeping shackle.. How the bleep does one break a leaf spring shackle??
Did find that if the rear falls off the jack, the brake hose will support it's weight..
I love Mopars so much I'm date coding the skid marks in my underwear.

Was the shackle a new POS made in China? I have lots of used ones if you want another.

And the belt on the 4WD van with the Cummins has 300K on it, but I stopped driving it due to an oil leak. Seems like I love the suspense...

Here's an update on my clock revival. Picked up the clock from the repair shop today, all serviced and ready to go, for a whole $28. After some teeth gnashing and a bit of skin lost (blasted speedo cable!) she's ticking away like a good thing. Of course, nothing ever turns out perfectly - now the high beam indicator light isn't working. Oh well, that's for another day - just have to drop the fuse panel to check that out. On to the next, straightening my trunk trim!
