Cool Andy! I absolutely love Max!
I use to run low to mid 13 second 1/4 mile E.T.s on 26 x 10.5 x 15 Mickey Thompson Sportsman Pro D.O.T. legal Drag Radial tires here in the Phoenix heat on a good day or night! ![]() Richard

Not any more here in AZ Andy. The Firebird International Raceway Park located in Chandler AZ was built, owned and run by a former NHRA Funny Car driver Charlie Allen. The track was located on part of one of the Indian Reservations in AZ and a few years back the Tribe decided not to renew the lease to Mr Allen. They took it over and it's now called the Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park as shown below in the second picture. The first picture show the tower as it looked under Mr Allen's ownership and how it looked while I raced there from the mid 1980's when the track opened until the end of the 1997 season when I stopped drag racing.

P.S. Andy,
The old girl still wears a lot of burnt rubber underneath her rear chassis from those days and I'll never wash it off! She earned all of that patina! LOL! ![]() Richard
