My R/T project
#41
With the primer I could see that I needed to smooth out the passenger side door edge. Although not as much needed to be replaced as the driver side, it still took all morning to weld up. My welding still leaves much to be desired. Tomorrow after church I'll finish welding it up and smooth it out with a skim coat of bondo glass then reapply some primer.

Well I had a little set back on the R/T, when I received the paint I ordered I found out that the paint Store sold me the wrong type of primer for my paint. Either I didn't give the guy enough Info or he just sold me the wrong stuff. I should have just saved up and bought a complete kit, but that's water under the bridge now. So I ended up having to sand the car back down and get a urethane compatible primer. I put plastic all along the walls of the garage to protect it from over spray. Here are a few pictures.

Today I drilled the holes and modified the sail panel chrome to fit before I paint the car. Thanks to Richard's help.
