Correct Jack instruction decal to Coronet 66..
#31
Thank you and yes, the Coronet and I have gone through many good years together. Smile

I will mention though, even with all of the modifications that I've done, I still have the cars original 361 big block short block, the complete original automatic transmission and the original 2.76 rear differential center section. As far as it's sheet metal, it still wears all of it's factory original panels with the exception of the 1967 Coronet donor hood which I used to mount the reproduction 1967 Super Stock hood scoop to, but I do have the original hood in excellent condition safely stored away. Wink

Future plans include a second complete interior restoration which will see a much more factory stock look and a color change from the current Yellow and Black to the factory offered 1966-1967 Pearl White and Black. I'd also like to replace the current Weld Draglite wheels with a more 1960's looking Cragar S/S, or similar style mag wheels.

How about you? What plans do you have for your very cool convertible?

well ...haha :-)

Im 45 right now, got my driving licence 1988 - have driven Mustang in the summertime since then.

So I will enjoy my first mopar summer.... ;-) ... See if it's for me...

Have found out that there are 5 Coronet convertibles -66 in Sweden of all series... = at least 6 with mine ... of them 500 ?? (maybe there are a few more but not many..)

(And at least one hemi car of each 66+ 67)...

Plans...hmm

*New white striped tires in the back (already new up front) check

* Black UPPER stripe

*Maybe the bumper guards

* Waiting for some engine/ jack decals

*Continue detailing the engine compartment

*Fix the exhaust (the whole system is new) but the end pipes differ 2cm (almost an inch) - must fix that

*Get a special insurance for old veteran cars - My Hudson 38 cost fully insured 45$ for a whole year

Already have it inspected ( just photos remain) final verdict : Car in very fine original condition, rare car (word for word) like it...:-)

* touching up/ polish/ wax

* Change oil/ filter

* ENJOY THE CAR IN A SUNNY DAY OR TWO.....

* No major reworks anyway ...

* keep my eyes open and look for a nos clock on swapmeets/internet

* Get better knowledge about the car - keep reading this forum...;-)

Have a great day tomorrow !!!!!!

It sounds as if you have an excellent plan in place for your Coronet! The part that I like the most about your plan, is that you will be enjoying and driving the car whenever possible! Cool

Hi Andy !

Intresting - Sunfire yellow ???

See my thread regarding color question:

http://www.dodgecoronet.com/forum/showth...ers-colors

From the thread above:
Seen name as Dafodil yellow - (I think that name was for the Chrysler models) - but Bright yellow or just yellow for Dodge cars - Which of those are the correct name ??

Were did you get the name "Sunfire yellow" from ??

My color code is : RR1 B
